If you are reading this blog, then you must be thinking about living or locating a business in this peaceful, rural town of Oak Ridge located in northwestern Guilford County, NC. The community used to consist mostly of farmland before many farmers sold their land to developers who built subdivisions of higher end housing. So, since its incorporation in 1998, the town has grown rapidly to over 6,200 residents. Because of the growth, Oak Ridge attracted shopping centers which located around the intersection of Hwy 150 and Hwy 68 near Oak Ridge Military Academy.
If you love horses, then Oak Ridge, NC will be especially appealing to you since raising, breeding, riding, and showing horses is a favorite pastime.
However, this weekend there is a different event scheduled in Oak Ridge Town Park at Shelter #2. It's the Music in the Park event featuring The Grassfields band all the way from Walkertown, NC and it's FREE. So, bring a chair or bring a blanket, grab a pretzel and soft drink at the park, and enjoy connecting with your family, friends, and neighbors this Saturday night (May 17, 2014) at 6:00.
